11:30 - 12:30The Free Community Class is taught by the co-op teachers on a rotating basis. There will be a donation box for non-perishable food for the Dutchess Outreach in Poughkeepsie as
admittance to the class.

Series:
These classes are scheduled on an ongoing regular basis or for short periods of time; these classes have a start and ending and are meant to be taken as a complete experience, ask the individual teacher about absences, make-ups, etc.
 
Snow:
The studio will follow Arlington schools for snow day cancellations, if there is a delay, all morning classes will be cancelled, the phone message will be updated with status of afternoon and evening classes.

Foundations of Yoga
This is where you start when you've never been........to LEARN THE BASICS OF YOGA!
Refine and restore your mind, body and spirit as you are taken through the basics of asana with correct alignment (postures) pranayama (breathwork) mantra (chanting) and dharma (yogic ideas)
Note:  this class was originally a series, now is a regular class on the schedule

Whisper Yoga
Suitable for everyone, this class is as gentle as a whisper; gentle stretching, breathing and movement with focus on breath and being present in your body.  May utilize props for support, allowing the body to relax and unwind while maintaining a meditative focus.  For everyone with a body and those who need to restore energy and well being in a very gentle and peaceful way. 
 
Yoga Therapeutics
This class will focus on understanding correct physical alignment, building stability and posture basics.  Great for students with limitations, injuries, beginners, or those coming back to yoga.
 
 **Yoga For The Core
Enjoy pilates?  This All Level class encompasses aspects of pilates.  During this class, we will focus on strengthening our core to prevent back injury, to increase range of motion, and to encourage an understanding on how our core feeds the rest of our practice.  A strong core encourages stability and directly relates to the proper alignment of all yoga postures. **some yoga experience required
 
Amrit Yoga, “Meditation in Motion” 
Amrit Yoga is a precisely guided style that honors all levels making this form accessible to the beginner as well as the experienced practitioner. Gentle instruction honors individual capabilities emphasizing that where you are is perfect and exactly where you need to be — no right or wrong, no better or less than. This learning environment encourages you as student to grow in acceptance of “what is” on and off the mat. Based on the Kripalu style, the Amrit sequence of postures strengthens, tones and opens the body while emphasizing focus on breath and sensation, promoting inner quietude and the experience of “meditation in motion.” Also known as “The Posture of Consciousness,” this class can change your life!  
 
Gentle-Stretch
This class is a flow of gentle floor stretches and Yin postures. Yin postures are long and passively held which encourages energy into joints, ligaments and the deeper connective tissues while opening energy flows along organ meridians. This therapeutic class, practiced over time, encourages repair of damaged joints and ligaments and promotes overall well-being by removing energetic blockages.
 
Moving from the Inside Out
Establishing an intimate connection between your breath and core body allows you to move from the inside out like a flower blossoming. This class is for all levels, as there is no final form to strive for. All that is required is an openess to the connection of your breath & body and allowing the postures to move you to the level that honors your ability.
 
 
All-Level Alignment
This class is appropriate for all levels of practitioners looking to build strength, as well as flexibility and focus in a safe and well-guided practice. With emphasis being placed on breath awareness and proper anatomical alignment, the postures are held for a period of time so one can begin to "see" and understand the body in a new light.
 
**Moderate All-Level
Designed for the student with some yoga experience who wishes to focus on understanding components of basic postures and are looking for a challenge.  Modifications will be offered. **some yoga experience required
 
Restorative Yoga
By engaging in a practice of conscious breathing, gentle movement, and deep, supported stretch postures, one can find a greater sense of ease in the body, as well as freedom in the mind.  Appropriate for all levels 
 
Active Sequence
A gentle sequence of postures (asanas) beginning with centering and breath to "turn off" the constant chatter in the mind and focus on the sensations in the body created through the movements. Instruction to proper alignment and areas of bodily focus are given throughout the sequence to enable the practicioner to receive full benefit of each individual pose. Asanas can be deepened for more of a challenge or can be modified for a more gentle practice. The main intention of the class is to "move from the head to the heart" and become acquainted with one's own inner Self, staying fully present in the moment, in addition to bringing health, flexibility, and vitality to the body. 
 
Gentle Yoga forTension Release
In this class, you will be guided through simple yoga stretches using slow deep breathing and mindfulness. Yoga done in this manner helps with body awareness and deep tension release. Students will learn how to relax into the yoga stretches without forcing or straining. This class is appropriate for beginners or anyone who wishes to slow their yoga practice down.  
 
Align & Deepen
This all-levels class will focus on stretching and strength building.  Discover how to deepen the connection between the body and mind using the breath as the link. Holding poses allows the student to work on alignment, and deepen their physical practice as well as their self-awareness.  Beginners welcome!  Modifications will be offered.
 
 
Yoga on the Ball
Class using physio-balls for fun, strength and balance.  All Levels welcome.
 
Gentle Yoga/Guided Meditation
This class will guide students into gentle postures and breathwork and end with Yoga Nidra, a form of guided meditation often called the "dreamless sleep of the yogis".  It is suitable for all levels of practitioner, including beginners.
