Introduction to Alexander Techniquewith Judith Muir

Alexander Technique:
An easily learned skill that we can apply to ourselves, improving
balance, coordination, movement and posture. It is used to manage pain,
accelerate rehabilitation and improve performance in anything from
swimming to singing.
Judith Muir teaches the Alexander Technique in the
Theatre Department of Bard College, and she is the co-founder, with her
husband Peter Muir, Dip. IMH Ph.D., of Music for Life, a
program based upon the work of John Diamond, M.D.
She is one of a handful of people in the world certified to teach the
Diamond-Dart Meridian Sequence.

Nutrition 101:Staying Healthy with Nutrition
with Bonnie Nussbickel, LMT, HHC, RYT, CPT

Confused by all of the different diets on the market
today?
Are you wondering why your energy level is low and why your immune
system typically becomes compromised during the cooler months?
Would you like to learn simple steps to
get you started on the road to eating healthier?
Bonnie Nussbickel, a holistic
health & nutritional counselor, graduate of Institute for Integrative
Nutrition, will help you wade through the information and make sense of the
seemingly contradictory information on the market today. This workshop will
provide an overview of basic nutrition concepts, as well as some lesser known
ideas such as the "crowding out" theory, the "80/20" plan,
and the "cook once, eat twice" theory. Although there is no one right way to eat, participants will
discover techniques to learn what is best for their
bodies and their lifestyle. The workshop will also reveal the reasons behind
the 3pm sugar cravings and offer techniques to balance your energy throughout
the day. Learn how
to transition into the cooler months of Fall and Winter and find foods that
help support your immune system, keeping you healthier during the holiday
season.
